Frequently asked
What do FOB and CNF mean?
FOB is the price of the vehicle delivered to the UK port. CNF (cost and freight) adds the sea freight to your destination port, such as Mombasa or Dar es Salaam. Import duty and clearing in your country are paid separately. Ask us on WhatsApp for the CNF price of any vehicle.
Which vehicles can I import into Kenya?
Kenya only allows right-hand drive vehicles first registered within the last 8 years. In 2026, that means vehicles first registered in 2019 or later. Used vehicles from the UK also need a Certificate of Roadworthiness from QISJ, the inspection company appointed by the Kenya Bureau of Standards.
Is there an age limit for Tanzania?
There is no age ban, but excise duty depends on age. Under the Finance Act 2026: 18% for vehicles over 8 and up to 10 years old, 35% for over 10 and up to 20 years, and 40% for over 20 years. Check the full duty with your clearing agent before you buy.
How much import duty will I pay?
It depends on the country, the vehicle's value, age and engine size. Use our import duty calculator for Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia, or tap Get CNF price on any vehicle to see the shipped price and the duty together.
Can you find a vehicle that isn't on the website?
Yes. Tell us the make, model, year and budget on WhatsApp or through the request form, and we'll look for it.
How do I ask about a specific vehicle?
Tap the WhatsApp button on any vehicle. The message includes the vehicle name, price and stock ID, so we know exactly which one you mean.
